I took my camera out this weekend for a lake shore walk. I started at North Avenue beach and walked north up to Irving Park. Then I walked around Wrigleyville a little bit. Not many interesting shots…but a couple turned out pretty okay.

Here are a couple cool articles I found talking about shooting urban landscapes. Quite honestly, I think urban photography is the main focus that got me interested in learning about photography. There is something I find extremely interesting about urban exploration. The way old brick contrasts with iron and steel and the wild vegetation that seems to sprout out of the concrete jungle.

I for one am a tortilla junkie. I stop by my local mercado almost daily for fresh tortillas. I personally prefer el milagro. But pick up del rey on occasion if they are fresher that day. I’m scared of them now. Read on…
